How Are You Feeling About The New Lamb Of God So Far?
If you’ve been following the new Lamb Of God releases from their upcoming Wrath album on the internet this far, then you have at least heard one of the three songs that have been kind of made public. You first probably heard and ultra-crappy version of the song Overhauled played live and downloaded the first free single, Contractor. Now you can stream the new song “Set To Fail” at Altpress.com.
I haven’t heard any newer versions of Overhauled yet and it was hard to get a good feel for it from the youtube videos. Contractor on the other hand is a raw, gritty single that I played about ten times in a row the night it was made available. That song will have the circle pits spinning franticly. The new streaming single, Set To Fail, is really a great song as well. I have to warn some people though, if you didn’t like Sacrament because it “sounded too much like Pantera“, then you’re going to hate the new single. Vocally it has a real Pantera feel to it. You may not see it when it first starts up, but once Randy goes in to the vocal breakdown you feel it. The solo is almost reminiscent of Dimebag as well…and that’s not a bad thing. Overall it still sounds like Lamb Of God in a great way and it makes me want this album even more.
February 24th, be prepared to drop at least $35 on cd’s (Lamb Of God, God Forbid), $50 if you plan on picking up Hatebreed‘s cover album. Amazon is advertising a Deluxe 2 disc set with very little or no details, but it’s only listed as a dollar more than the regular release and it comes out on the same day.
