The new Skeletonwitch tracked Crushed Beyond Dust is available for streaming on their Myspace. To be honest I was going to use the title “Skeletonwitch Will Crush You Beyond Dust“. I had it all typed up and thought I would check Metalsucks first to see if those witty bastards already used that title…and sure as shit, they did. I kind of figured they would beat me to the punch as they usually do. That’s what happens when you work a full time job and all the good news is usually old news by the time you get to it.
Anyway, the new track coming off of their new album Breathing The Fire is nothing short of awesome and sounds, well, like Skeletonwitch. If you’re not familiar with the band then check out Beyond The Permafrost. They kind of have a blackened-death/thrash sound to them. The new album is coming October 13th on Prosthetic Records.

Fucking AWESOME… New Skeletonwitch… I reckon this might be one of the best records of 2009.
I hope I get the chance to see them sometime, I’d do it in a second. I thought BTP was really cool, and apparently it makes them look mediocre compared to their live act.
Should be very good. Beyond The Permafrost is highly under-rated and I think the only reason they have the following that they do is due to touring. I don’t think they have got enough PR and push from prosthetic.
