Hooked! First Hook In Mouth Podcast
Alright. here is my first Podcast for Hook In Mouth. As you’ll hear I’m all over the place on this one. Again, it’s my first. I played a few songs from Asphyx, Ravage, Gwar, Malebolgia, Pantera and Celtic Frost. I hope you enjoy it and next week should be better now that I have gotten things kind of down and can tweak things here and there, especially the sound. Let me know what you thin and what I can improve on. If you want less talk and more music, by all means, just say the word. That’s easy for me. Thanks.

TOOK SOME TIME TO GET IT RIGHT, BUT IT SHOULD BE GOOD-TO-GO.
I think you did a pretty good job. Good music choices, and I think that when you get more comfortable on the mic, you’ll be fine. You kind of fell into the trap of saying “uh” everytime you pause to think, which is a very common thing that people do when public speaking or recording. I only know this because I was a drama/music queer in high school (don’t tell anyone).
Anyway, I’d definitely keep it going, great start. The dialogue between songs is a nice change from the typical “and the next song is…” podcast, and you’re certainly knowledgeable enough to make it interesting.
Yeah, I hate the Uh’s and the Um’s too. I try not to do it but it’s force of habit when you don’t have everything well thought out before you say it. Thanks for the compliments. I’m excited to do the next one. This time around I should be more conscious about the Um’s and Uh’s so we’ll see how that goes.
I had a notebook in front of me with a few things jotted down but next time I’ll have more written to go off of. Also I’m cutting the dialogue much shorter between songs so as to try not to trail off and get more music in between.
great job. its really hard for me to listen to or get into new music from my computer, so having a podcast is the main way i find new music
