Dave Mustaine To Autograph Endgame Albums After Shows

Megadeth EndgameWith bigger bands you don’t see this very often, but Dave Mustaine wants you to know that he will be autographing copies of Endgame after shows during the Endgame tour. This coming as stores are short on stock of the new record. This doesn’t surprise me much because these days record stores and retailers in general stock less of new albums unless it’s bands like Nickelback and pop artists. It’s not really news that cds, especially from metal bands, don’t sell as well as they used to so retailers avoid overstock and cut overhead by reducing the number of new albums they would normally sell. I tell you what though, I already bought the album when it came out, but if I can score a signed copy from Dave at the upcoming Richmond, VA show, I’ll be all over it and buying another copy, not to mention a bit of merch since the first and only other time I saw Megadeth I didn’t buy anything. here are Dave’s exact words:

Since we have tried and tried to find out why our records are not being stocked in so many places that our other labelmates are being stocked at, and ALL of our peers are being sold in too, and since we keep getting excuses from either the stores, the distributors, or the other people involved with getting the record in stores and out to you, I have decided that depending on how tired I am each night, I am willing to do their jobs too, and I will be waiting for you each night after we play and we (me) will be autographing records for you at our merchandise booth to support Megadeth somehow at these shows.

Please remember that I am going to be doing my best to do this for us all, although I should NOT have to do this in order to sell my new record. Talk about feeling like a beginner band, and having no real understanding of why you are being treated like you don’t deserve to be treated better, but fuck it and fuck them.
