I recently saw an entire set of Chris Broderick playing a lot of Marty's tunes and in some of the hardest solos he misses notes and his phrasing is different. Plus the fact that marty wrote the solos.

Chris Broderick has yet to write any songs or solos that come even close to what Marty wrote when he was in Megadeth.
Guitar playing is a lot more about feeling thant just technical chops.

In my humble opinion, I feel Broderick's playing in this particular video was definitly superior. I don't know what it was or how he did it...somehow he was more expressive and well paced than Friedman himself, comparing the two now it seems like Friedman just rushed right through it, while Broderick's playthrough just seemed to "flow" better again IMO.
Damn that guy is good.

Fascinating video. I've been a fan of Chris Broderick ever since I saw him play with Jag Panzer, opening for Iced Earth in 1998. The dude is insane. I'd rather have Broderick in the band right now. But having said that, nothing beats Marty Friedman doing the original solo.
So I vote Broderick for Megadeth, Friedman in this video.
