Black Label Society Pre – Order Of The Black

The Black Label store has the brand new Black Label Society special edition box set for the upcoming release of Order Of The Black. The box set contains the following:

3 Nail Cross Pendant (1.5” Pendant)
5×7” Lithograph Autographed by Zakk Wylde
Keg Tap Handle (12” made of wood)
Order of the Black CD
Exclusive T-Shirt

All of this comes in the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ box and can be yours for…$99.00? Kind of pricey in this economy when it’s tough enough to just get a person to buy the album by itself, but it’s not that bad of a price considering what you’re getting there. A Black Label fan must have.

The Many Faces Of James Lomenzo

With the recent ousting of James Lomenzo, or whatever happened, I got to thinking about something I wrote about him awhile ago. In fact it was only a year and three days ago that I wrote it. It was originally posted at Metal Martyr and part of another post, but I picked apart the section about Lomenzo.

Now I’m not picking on or disrespecting James Lomenzo here. He’s a great Bass player, but I started to look at his history and images of the like and found it kind of funny. Lomenzo during his White Lion days took on the semi-glammish look of White Lion. No big deal, that was the look back then in bands like that. Then I kind of remembered him in Black Label Society, with David Lee Roth and now Megadeth. Check it out.

Hath Hell Frozeth Over? Zakk Wylde Quits Drinking.

hellfrozenoverYeah, when hell freezes over” is the common answer to two questions.

  1. Will the United States ever have a black president? [and]
  2. Will Zakk Wylde ever stop boozing it up?

Amazingly, within the last year we have seen both of these things come true. First in the landslide of Barack Obama’s victory in the presidential run and now with Zakk Wylde pretty much being forced to quit drinking or suffer further health problems.

In a recent interview with Poparazzi, right before his Singapore prison show, Christopher Toh asked Zakk all the right questions and Zakk answered them well all with a little bit of corny wit. Check out the interview at Poparazzi.

Hangover Metal| Zakk Wylde: Dead As Yesterday

Probably one of my favorite Zakk Wylde acoustic songs, Dead As Yesterday just has such a nice, soothing, heartfelt sound to it. Here is an older video of Zakk performing the song live. I don’t know where else you can find it, but it’s on the Skullage compilation that was recently released. Enjoy.

One Of My Favorite BLS Songs

I’m not all that familiar with Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, but I like a few songs here and there. This one has been a favorite since I first heard it. After Dimebag Darrell Abbot’s Death it kind of became a tribute to him from Zakk Wylde as they were close friends. Great video, nothing more to say.
