Exodus – Downfall Video NSFE (Not Safe For Epileptics)
Seriously. When I opened the press release from Nuclear Blast there was a bright yellow warning that said:
“***VIEWERS WHO ARE EPILEPTIC OR PRONE TO SEIZURES ARE ASKED NOT TO VIEW THIS VIDEO DUE TO ITS STROBING EFFECT.***”
So heed the warning if you pertain to those mentioned. Here is the Downfall video from Exodus. The rest of the presser follows:
The track comes off the band’s Billboard Top 200 charting album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition. The video was shot on April 1st on the old set of the television sitcom Night Court and features animated sequences by Los Angeles-based traditional animator Jeremy Polgar.

Exodus Streaming Exhibit B: The Human Condition On Myspace
Exodus, the band that somehow got left out of “The Big 4″ back in the thrash movement, is currently streaming Exhibit B: The Human Condition on their Myspace. Exhibit B is the follow up to The Atrocity Exhibit: Exhibit A from 2007. I’ve listened to the album twice but have yet to completely decide how I feel about it, so that usually means that it’s not grabbing me as much as I expected. Is it solid? Absolutely. Listen for yourself and if you like what you hear, pick it up tomorrow or order it directly from Nuclear Blast in it’s various packages.

Exodus Post New Song And Track List On Myspace
Seems to me the only good thing about Myspace these days is hearing new tracks from bands with upcoming albums. Other than that, Myspace is pretty irrelevant as it tries more and more to be like Facebook. On to the story. Exodus have posted the tracklisting and a new song (Hammer And Life) from their upcoming album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition. Exhibit B is obviously the follow-up to 2007′s The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A. You can hear the new song on Myspace or you can actually download it on Nuclear Blasts Sinister Spring Slaughter for free from Amazon. Alex Skolnick Has Way Too Much Going On.
Alex Skolnick is a busy man. Between playing in Testament, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and The Alex Skolnick Trio, he’s got a lot on his plate. His current project, touring in support of the release of The Alex Skolnick Trio’s Last Day In Paradise will leave him absent from touring with Testament on Megadeth’s Rust In Peace 20th Anniversary tour with Exodus during March. He’ll also start touring with the Trans Siberian Orchestra towards the end of March for their first ever Spring tour, performing Beethoven’s Last Night in its entirety and songs from Night Castle.
Here is the ironic part, but not like an uncomfortable irony. Glenn Drover, former guitarist of Megadeth will be filling in for Skolnick on the tour. No doubt that Glen can handle this as he has filled in before and is completely competent in his abilities.

Hooked! Thrash Metal Edition Podcast
So, here it is, the Hooked! Thrash Metal Edition of the Hook In Mouth Podcast. Again, I’m all over the place between songs. I tried to minimize the “uhs’ and Ums” but shit, I can’t help it I guess. Also I’m a little stuffed up from allergies right now so I sound like a little kid.
Below is the track list of the songs and bands I played. Stay tuned in a couple of weeks for more thrash metal. I love it and it it’s timeless. That’s why there are so many thrash metal bands still out there. Not because it’s trendy but because thrash metal kicks ass like no other. This edition ran about an hour and 30 minutes [63.4 mb]. the Megadeth sample levels (from Amazon.de) are kind of loud but you get the point.
If you enjoyed the bands in this podcast, please buy the albums and go to their shows if they come to your local venues. Support the bands’; otherwise you’ll just have to listen to the garbage force-fed to you by the radio waves. Read the rest of this entry »
