Mandatory Health Insurance?
Let me take a moment to break away from metal and talk slightly about politics. I first thought that health care was something that every American was entitled to. I still feel that way to an extent but I feel that if every American is to be entitled to health care, ever American needs to contribute in some way or relinquish these “rights” before accepting a proposed bill that would make health care available to them. Far too many people already receive free health care and do not contribute. Some of these people are NOT even American citizens and are financially able to contribute to our “system”. The problem is that a proposed bill may make it mandatory to have health insurance or be penalized. If this is the case, than are we really “fixing” it or are we just making it worse than it already is?
When president Obama started talking about health reform, I was all about it. America is one of the few countries that Health care is an extremely profitable business, hence the ads and commercials you see on television and in magazines and such for pharmaceuticals and such. I don’t like to talk politics too much because I don’t know all that much about politics, so I don’t. Read the rest of this entry »
