Ozzy’s Scream Streaming In It’s Entirety
Ozzy Osbourne’s new album Scream is streaming in it’s entirety. This usually means one thing; it probably leaked. Is this going to stop it from going gold in it’s first week? Probably not. If you want to legally hear the entire album now, go to Ozzy’s Myspace. I hear he hangs out there all the time.
Get Your Soul Sucked With New Ozzy Single
The BBC Radio 1′s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter interviewed Ozzy. Long story short, you can hear Soul Sucka during the interview. It’s one of those songs that you hate or at least want to hate for the first minute or two, but it kind of starts growing on you toward the end.
I Am Ozzy: Ozzy Osbourne Autobiography Review
It usually takes a really good book for me to read from cover to cover in two weeks. I normally don’t make a lot of time for myself when it comes to reading, so when a really good book grips me, I always seem to find little slivers of time that turn in to hours of reading pleasure. I Am Ozzy was one of those books that was really hard to put down.
The book starts out where most autobiographies do. Right from the get-go Ozzy is telling us of his poverty ridden childhood at 14 Lodge Road in Aston, United Kingdom. From growing up in a house with no indoor toilet to going to school and being harassed by certain teachers, Ozzy life doesn’t seem too far from the ordinary person that may have grown up in post-war Great Britain. He had good parents that provided the best they could while he tried to find his purpose in life. He makes it quite obvious that he was never cut out for typical labor and a professional occupation was pretty much out of the question due to his dyslexia and learning curve. Ozzy even spent some time in prison when he couldn’t pay a fine for a burglary. Read the rest of this entry »
Ozzy Will Allow Fans To Choose New Album Title.
Yes, a lot of Ozzy news lately but just deal with it. Metal Underground reports That Ozzy has told VH1 that he is going to give the fans an opportunity to pick the name of the new album.
“This time, before I even announce what I’m going to call it, I’m going to get a list of names and post it on my website and find out which people like the best.”
So it looks like you won’t actually be able to submit your own idea, but still. You have to give the guy credit for trying. If I did submit an idea I think I would roll with something simple like “Fuck Off”. I think that would be a great Ozzy album name.
On another note, O just bought the “I Am Ozzy” book and will do a review on it in about a month or so. However long it takes me to finish it.
Ozzy Wiped His Ass With Roger Whitaker’s Curtains
Who is Roger Whitaker? Some other British dude. Google it. But we’ll get to that in a bit.
In a very good interview with Mainstreet.com, Ozzy talked about how his success hasn’t really been planned out, how some bands are charging way to much money for tickets and how he once wiped his ass with someone else’s curtains. Here are a couple of excerpts.
“Some of them charge $1,000 per ticket. I wouldn’t pay $1,000 to see God,” he said. “I’m not an advocate of rip-off ticket prices. You work your gigs with the state of the economy, so kids don’t have to re-mortgage the house to buy a ticket.”
He also talked about a highlight from his upcoming book:
Sharon had him taking a colon cleanser (she’s evidently always finding and sampling new kinds of health products). Unfortunately, he found himself at the home of the British crooner Roger Whitaker not long after taking the concoction, and soon enough nature took its course.
“So I was in his house and I used his bathroom. I had no choice. But there was no toilet paper. I had to use his curtains.”
What I want to know is what he did with the curtains afterward. Read the rest of the interview at Mainstreet.com.
THANK FUCKING GOODNESS! Ozzy Scraps “Soul Sucka” Album Title
I think everyone gasped and said “What-The-Fuck?” when it was announced that Ozzy’s next album would be called “Soul Sucka“. Was Ozzy trying to be “Hip”? Did he think the key to our hearts and ears was through half-ass Ebonics? Or was he just smokin’ crack? I don’t really know, but what I do know is that he has heard our cries and woke the fuck up!
Rolling Stone published an article in which the Ozz-man says the following:
“When we put that on the Internet none of my fan base liked the title,” says Osbourne. “They were like, ‘I can’t imagine me walking around the fucking house with the words ‘Soul Sucka’ on my T-shirt.’ So I was like, ‘Fuck it. I’ve got to come up with something else!’ ”
Thank you, Ozzy. Just when I was convinced that you were completely and utterly insane, you proved me wrong.
Ozzy also announced that before the extensive tour that he mentioned a week or so back, Ozzfest will return. Right now there is no saying whether it will be one date or multiple. Hopefully multiple dates will be made and it will put Rockstar Mayhem fest to shame. Sadly, The Warp Tour will probably do that.
“Soul Sucka”, Ozzy? Seriously?
NME.com is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne is completely insane. Now there are a number of terrible album titles out but I can’t honestly think of any bad Ozzy Osbourne album titles…until now. Diary Of A Madman, Ozzmosis, The Ultimate Sin, this list goes on, just look at them.
Maybe I just don’t understand, but “Soul Sucka”? Really?
I thought Black Rain kind of sucked. In fact, Ozzy hasn’t written a really good album since No More Tears. Granted some of the latest albums haven’t been all that great but they still had pretty good names to them. Soul Sucka? What the fuck?
Videos That Kick Ass: Ozzy Osbourne Bark At The Moon
Way back in the day before Mtv turned Ozzy in to a bumbling, senile buffoon, Ozzy was feared by parents and idolized by his fans. His theatrics were what made him the self proclaimed “Prince of Darkness”. I think that most fans old or new, still love Ozzy even after the reality tv madness. After all, he helped pioneer heavy metal? Bark At the Moon is a great song, album and video. How can NOT love a video where Ozzy turns in to a very shaggy werewolf?
Hangover Metal: Lita Ford Featuring Ozzy- Close My Eyes Forever
Back in the days when Lita Ford was a female metal (more of a hard rock) icon and Ozzy was still an iconic figure in metal and not bastardized by a shitty Mtv reality show, they did this duet that is nothing short of classic. This power ballad was recorded in 1988 when Lita was managed by Sharon Osbourne and was recorded on her album “Lita“. At 50 years old, Lita Ford still has a certain sexiness about her and is once again beginning to tour.
