Cannibal Corpse are heading out to once again support 2009’s Evisceration Plague, sponsored by Decibel and Metalsuck. This time around they are dragging along Norway’s 1349, Skeletonwitch and Lecherous Nocturne. Plenty of dates to go around. Here is a blurb from the presser.

Skeletonwhitch recieved much praise from Beyond the Permafrost with their Blackened Death/Thrash sound that brought eargasms to many metal fans a couple of years ago. This time around, the ‘witch does just the same, if not more.

From the get-go, Breathing The Fire thrashes you about while give you another dose of blackened death metal that makes the old school band of thrasher metal masters proud. From the fast riffed power chords to tremolo picking rage, Breathing The fire doesn’t give any time to recover between songs. I imagine there will be some pits filled with blood and sweat and maybe even some vomit from the shows for this new album. Read the rest of this entry »

SKELETONWITCH have unveiled the second webisode documenting the recording of their upcoming full length “Breathing the Fire,” (October 13, Prosthetic Records). This installment focuses on drummer Derrick “Mullet Chad” Nau tracking drums and producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, High on Fire, Soundgarden).

The band is currently on tour with Children of Bodom and The Black Dahlia Murder through October 12th and then will provide support to The Black Dahlia Murder along with Toxic Holocaust and Trap Them. Skeletonwitch: Breathing The Fire

The new Skeletonwitch tracked Crushed Beyond Dust is available for streaming on their Myspace. To be honest I was going to use the title “Skeletonwitch Will Crush You Beyond Dust“. I had it all typed up and thought I would check Metalsucks first to see if those witty bastards already used that title…and sure as shit, they did. I kind of figured they would beat me to the punch as they usually do. That’s what happens when you work a full time job and all the good news is usually old news by the time you get to it.

Anyway, the new track coming off of their new album Breathing The Fire is nothing short of awesome and sounds, well, like Skeletonwitch. If you’re not familiar with the band then check out Beyond The Permafrost. They kind of have a blackened-death/thrash sound to them. The new album is coming October 13th on Prosthetic Records.
