Krisiun Performing In Raleigh, NC on October 2nd
Friday night’s show was great. it was a much better turn-out than I expected; of course the classic bands always seem to draw a bigger crowd in this area. Warbringer opened the show with ferocity as usual and had the energy to get the crowd ready for the bands to come. The Berzerker, a band I had only heard of, made quite the impact with the death metal/grindcore infusion from Melbourne, Australia. A bit loud but they put on a great show too.
Krisiun has a brand new fan. Another band that I had only heard the name and just never had the interest to pursue Krisiun. Damn, I’ve been missing out. Read the rest of this entry »
What's Most Frequently Played on Your iPod Lately?
Lately I’ve been on this real thrash kick. I’ve been listening to bands that I should have been listening to 15 years ago. it doesn’t matter, I’m enjoying them now. I try to put my iPod on shuffle but i always end up skipping over songs very quickly. I find it easier to just put on an album and let it play through. Here are the top 5 most frequently played albums on my iPod as of late:
- Kreator: Enemy of God – An awesome German thrash album that is only a few years old.
- Sodom: One Night in Bangkok – An awesome double live album.
- Warbringer: Waking In To Nightmares – These guys give neo-thrash a good name.
- Blood red Throne: Souls of Damnation – Awesome death metal. Enough said.
- Decrepit Birth: …And Time Begins – Again, awesome death metal. This album was released a few years ago. look for a new one sometime in the next year on Nuclear Blast.
What’s in your top 5 pr 10 most frequently played?
Happy 4th. Here's Some Warbringer
Happy 4th to those of us who are celebrating it by drinking beer, eating like pigs and watching fireworks. Pretty much everything that the revolutionaries that made it possible couldn’t have 233 years ago.
Here is Warbringer’s new video for Severed Reality from their latest release Waking In To Nightmares. Kind of a low qual embed, but you can thank Mtv for that, as it premiered on Headbangers blog.
Guest Review| Warbringer: Waking In To Nightmares

Warbringer - Waking In To Nightmares
I wanted to pick up the new Warbringer album, Waking In To Nightmares, when I saw them a couple of weeks ago. They put on a really good show and I wanted to hear more but I’m trying to cut down on how much money I spend at shows. With beer costing $4 a bottle, I went over my budget and only had enough cash to get an Exodus T-Shirt. Anyway, I obviously haven’t had a chance to check the album out, however our reader “Wayreth” and his friends do their own reviews and he submitted this short and sweet one for Waking In To Nightmares. Warbringer Severed Reality Video
Warbringer was the second band to take the stage at last Saturday’s Kreator/Exodus show. I wasn’t sure what to think or expect because I honestly haven’t heard much Warbringer and there are a few of the Neo-Thrash bands that I really don’t care for. Warbringer put on a great performance even though their set was a bit short because of an Injured drummer. I have a new respect for these guys and I should have picked up their new album Waking Into Nightmares album while I was at the show, but I was trying not to spend too much and I had already bought an Exodus T-shirt. It is on my list of CD’s to buy in the near future and you might want to check it out if you have a chance. Here is the new video Severed Reality, from the album.
