We just wrapped up our caucus meeting in Kelowna – it’s been a busy few days working on our plan to grow the middle class and create better opportunities for Canadians. My thanks to the people of Kelowna for the warm welcome & your hospitality this week, and a special thanks to the firefighters & first responders who have been working hard to help those affected by wildfires.

“If the Canada-India partnership of the 1950s was built on aid and development, then today it’s being built on trade and investment, ideas and innovation.” Kasi Rao, President and CEO – Canada-India Business Council India's business community is showing huge confidence in Canadian talent because setting up shop in Canada makes sense – and people in both our countries benefit. That's the point I made today at a business conference in New Delhi.
